After-Care

Lucyna Massage Therapy > After-Care

Following your massage treatment, you may experience over the next few days some of the following:

  • Cold symptoms
  • Feeling hot
  • A blocked or runny nose
  • Feeling emotional (high and low)
  • Feeling sleepy & relaxed
  • A temporary worsening of symptoms
  • Thirsty
  • More urination
  • A headache and/or dizziness due to improved circulation but this will only be temporary.
  • Soreness and tenderness on areas worked on during your massage.

These symptoms are quite normal and are a good sign that the treatment is working.

You should try to do the following:

  • Drink plenty of water over the next 24 hours (This will help your body to flush out toxins).
  • Rest if possible.
  • Avoid heat treatments (bath, sauna etc) for at least 24 hours.
  • Try and avoid hard exercise for the rest of the day
  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine and hot spicy food for the rest of the day.
